The rules that keep costs honest
Morocco runs on cash (roughly 10 MAD ≈ $1) — carry small notes, because big ones 'can't be changed' at exactly the wrong moments. Agree every price BEFORE the service: taxis, fish at the port, henna, photos with performers. Haggling in souks is expected and friendly — counter around a third of the first ask and settle near half.
