Is 7 days enough for Morocco?
Enough for one region done well — the Marrakech–Sahara–Essaouira triangle is the classic first trip. Adding Fes or Chefchaouen in the same week means spending a third of your holiday in transit; save the north for a second visit.
Is the Sahara worth it on a 7-day trip?
Yes, if you accept the trade: two days of the seven go to the desert, and about 18 hours of them are driving. The drive itself (Aït Benhaddou, Dadès) is genuinely part of the experience. If long drives aren't your thing, swap in the Agafay desert camps 45 minutes from Marrakech.
